Six Rivers Geosciences is providing Geological Engineering and Hydrogeology services to support the Caltrans Division of Engineering Services, Office of Geotechnical Services, on an "as-needed" basis. These services will assist Caltrans in the maintenance, development and construction of proposed Caltrans transportation facilities in Districts 7, 8, 11, and 12.
Landslide Risk Tool Development, San Francisco Bay Region, California
Liquefaction and Lateral Spread Study, San Francisco Bay Region, California
Van Duzen River Hydrologic and Geomorphic Evaluations, California
Six Rivers Geosciences provided geologic and hydrogeologic support to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) in the development of an update to the seismically induced landslide model used by the System Earthquake Risk Assessment (SERA) risk tool used by PG&E to evaluate integrated seismic hazard across the PG&E asset portfolio. The focus of this study was on improving estimates of landslide deformation of existing landslides which can affect PG&E assets within the greater nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.
Six Rivers Geosciences provided geologic and hydrogeologic support to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) in the development of predictive liquefaction and lateral spread maps and algorithms to improve estimates of ground failure that can affect PG&E assets within the greater nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. This study is an element of the PG&E Geosciences Integrated Seismic Risk Management Program (ISRMP) and used to improve seismic risk assessment for the company Risk Assessment Mitigation Phase (RAMP), Enterprise risk register, and Line of Business (LOB) risk reduction activities.
Six Rivers Geosciences performed hydrologic and geomorphic evaluations and mapped channel migration zones to characterize the risk of flooding and erosion to PG&E’s Rio Del Tap 60 kV transmission line and appurtenant structures. The Rio Del Tap 60 kV transmission line crosses the Van Duzen River south of Hydesville in Humboldt County, and is subject to flooding, erosion, and scour during high flow events. This study will be used to help develop mitigation strategies to improve asset resiliency and reduce risk.
